F&F Tower

F&F Tower is an office building in Panama City with a distinctive rotating spiral form that rises 52 stories high. It stands in the banking district and features multiple work floors with small balconies on each level for outdoor access.

Construction of this modern building started in 2008 under the design of Pinzon Lozano & Asociados Arquitectos and was completed in 2011. The project represented an important milestone in Panama's architectural progress during that period.

The tower earned the nickname 'The Corkscrew' from Panama City residents because of its rotating helical form that spirals upward. This distinctive shape makes the building stand out prominently in the city's banking district where many other structures follow more traditional designs.

The building is easily accessible during business hours as the banking district is well-developed and straightforward to navigate. Visitors should know that this is primarily an office building, so access may be restricted outside of standard work hours.

The architects cleverly integrated the tower's foundation with existing underground wells from a gas station that occupied the site. This technical approach shows how they solved building challenges on a tightly constrained property.
