Iglesia y Convento de las Monjas de la Concepción

The Iglesia y Convento de las Monjas de la Concepción is a church and convent ruin in Panama Viejo with remains from the Spanish colonial period. Stone walls and foundations spanning several blocks show the structural design and layout of this religious complex from that era.

The convent was founded in 1597 and suffered major damage in the 1621 earthquake. The building remained unfinished when the city was later attacked and destroyed.
