Loma de León Natural Monument

The protected area extends across 72.75 square kilometers of semi-arid landscape featuring quartzite rock formations at 1,300 meters elevation.

The Venezuelan government established Loma de León as a natural monument on February 2, 1987 to preserve its geological formations and water resources.
