Playa Lagun

Playa Lagun is a small beach nestled in a bay between two tall limestone cliffs on Curaçao. It features white sand and clear turquoise water suitable for swimming and diving, with depths appropriate for both activities.

This location began as a working fishing village and gradually transformed into a recreational destination. The site has retained connections to its maritime past while adapting to tourism.

Fishermen have used this beach for generations to land and sell their catches directly to nearby restaurants. The blend of traditional livelihood and contemporary tourism remains visible in daily beach activity.

A staircase connects the beach to facilities including a restaurant, restrooms, and a diving school located above the shore. Bed and umbrella rentals are available to enhance your comfort during your visit.

Sea turtles visit this bay regularly, and lucky visitors sometimes spot hammerhead sharks in the water. These animal encounters make snorkeling and diving here particularly rewarding.
