Chapelle du Sagrario Metropolitano de Puebla

Capilla del Sagrario Metropolitano de Puebla is a chapel within the cathedral complex of the city. The interior is defined by a large altar structure of masonry and gold ornamentation, flanked by paired columns and several smaller dedicated altars throughout the space.

Construction began in 1700 under Father Antonio Salas Navarro and replaced an earlier unfinished structure at that location. The project spanned two decades and later received artistic additions from local painters and sculptors.

The chapel takes its name from the sacrament venerated within its walls. The interior displays religious artwork created by local artists and maintained as an important devotional space for the community.

A small side area with an almost circular floor plan sits beneath an octagonal dome. This secondary space contains a notable baptismal font that many visitors tend to overlook.
