Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, San Luis Potosí

The Basilica features two bell towers reaching 53 meters in height and stands along Calzada de Guadalupe, connecting it to downtown San Luis Potosí.

Construction of the religious structure began in 1772 and reached completion in 1800, during a period of architectural development in colonial San Luis Potosí.

The basilica maintains regular religious ceremonies and receives numerous visitors who participate in traditional celebrations dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe.

The basilica received its official minor basilica status through a decree issued on May 27, 1991, under the jurisdiction of Metropolitan Archdiocese.
