The George W. Bush Childhood Home features 1,400 square feet of living space with preserved 1950s furniture and architectural elements from that period.
From 1951 to 1955, this residence housed two future presidents of the United States, George H. W. Bush and his son George W. Bush.
The museum exhibits showcase daily life of the Bush family during the 1950s through photographs, documents, and personal objects from that time.
The museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, with guided tours available every hour until 4:15 PM.
The property transferred to Texas Historical Commission management in 2023 following a comprehensive National Park Service evaluation of its historical status.
