Lake Mineral Wells State Park & Trailway

Lake Mineral Wells State Park is a 600-acre area featuring a central lake, extensive trail networks, and natural rock formations. The terrain offers multiple opportunities for climbing, hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

Penitentiary Hollow is one of North Texas's rare natural rock climbing areas and requires registration at park headquarters before climbing. This hidden corner attracts experienced climbers who value the uncommon opportunity in this region.
