Our Lady of Victory Academy, Gothic Revival school building in Fort Worth, US

Our Lady of Victory Academy is a five-story building with pointed arches, steep rooflines, and decorative stone details in the Gothic Revival style. The structure displays classic features of this architectural approach and defines the streetscape with its distinctive forms.

The building was constructed in 1910 and served for many years as an educational institution rooted in religious teaching. By 2004, its use as a school ended and it was transformed into residential spaces with artist studios.

The building carries the name of its patron saint, reflecting the religious educational tradition that shaped Fort Worth's development. Today, artists occupy the studios and create a fresh purpose within these spaces.

The building sits on Shaw Street and is now known as Victory Arts Center, where artist studios are open to visitors. You can admire the architectural details from outside and sometimes observe artists working in their spaces.

Architects Sanguinet and Staats designed the building with distinctive steep rooflines and ornamental stonework that stands out in the city. Its transformation into artist studios has given the structure a second life as a creative hub.
