T&P Station, Art Deco railway station and skyscraper in downtown Fort Worth, United States
T&P Station is a railway station and skyscraper with Art Deco design in downtown Fort Worth. The complex combines train operations on the ground floor with residential condominiums above, featuring marble floors, ornamental metal details, and coffered ceilings throughout.
Built in 1931 for the Texas and Pacific Railway, the station served multiple railroad companies for decades. Passenger rail operations ceased in 1967, but the building was preserved and adapted for new uses.
The main waiting room hosts weddings and special events, keeping the space woven into Fort Worth's social life. Visitors can experience how the ornate spaces serve the community beyond their original purpose.
The station is accessible daily and connected to public transit, with bus routes and train stops serving the location. Allow time to explore the ornate details and use the main entrances to navigate the large complex.
The building blends residential living with active rail operations under one roof, creating an unusual combination where trains operate below while residents live above. This mixed-use arrangement is rare in American cities.
