It connects to Union Station and Reunion Tower, whose concrete shaft carries a glass-panelled sphere above the hotel's blue-glass towers. A 32,000-square-foot ballroom was added in 1998.
Architect Welton Becket, known for designing major structures in Los Angeles, created this building which opened in 1978. It has been a permanent fixture in Dallas's business landscape ever since.
