The Omni Dallas Hotel is a 23-story, 1,001-room building in the Convention Center District, attached directly to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Its dark, gently convex facade carries about 18 horizontal bands of white light, with a lit "OMNI HOTEL" sign at the top right. Meeting spaces span over 142,000 square feet.
The hotel opened in 2011 and marked a major growth period for Dallas hospitality with its direct connection to the adjacent convention center. This link made it a central hub for large-scale conferences and events.
The hotel's gift shop sells products from local artists, a way to take home something made in Dallas. The exterior LED system, over 2,200 protective tubes holding three 3-foot fixtures each, is sometimes programmed with patterns such as a Jawbreaker maze or Dallas Cowboys advertisements.
The hotel provides extensive meeting spaces designed for conferences, trade shows, and private celebrations, equipped with presentation technology. Direct access to the convention center makes it easy to move between both buildings.
