St. Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church

The church features red brick construction with a basilica plan layout and includes a prominent clock tower added in 1924.

Established in 1838 as the third parish within New Orleans, the original wooden structure was replaced by the current brick building in 1866.

French remained the primary language for sermons until the 1880s, reflecting the deep French heritage of the local Catholic community.

The church holds regular services on Saturdays at 4:00 PM, Sundays at 10:00 AM, and Tuesdays at 8:00 AM, with confessions available twice weekly.

A severe fire in 2003 required extensive restoration, including the integration of altars and furnishings from other New Orleans parishes.
