BREC Memorial Stadium features a grass surface and provides 21,500 seats within its 20-acre grounds near Interstate 110 in downtown Baton Rouge.
The stadium opened in 1952 as a dedication to military personnel who served Baton Rouge during World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.
The Louisiana High School Athletic Association has maintained its presence at BREC Memorial Stadium since 1956, hosting numerous football championships and community events.
The stadium enforces a clear bag policy that permits transparent containers not exceeding 12 by 6 by 12 inches for all events and games.
During the 1960s and 1970s, BREC Memorial Stadium expanded beyond traditional sports to accommodate water skiing competitions in its facilities.
