The Destin History & Fishing Museum displays historical photographs, antique fishing equipment, and marine artifacts across multiple exhibition spaces at 108 Stahlman Avenue.
The museum building, which opened in 2005, was previously the Destin Library and now preserves the legacy of this fishing village established in the 1830s.
The museum collection includes the Primrose, a 1925 seine fishing boat, and a special fishing rod with Ernest Hemingway's original Penn Reel.
Adult admission costs $10, military and first responders pay $9, seniors over 65 pay $8, students pay $5, while children under 5 enter free.
The Mike Long Fish Wall extends 100 feet, presenting award-winning fish specimens with an artistic representation of the Gulf floor beneath them.
