Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood, Historical assembly building in DeFuniak Springs, United States

The entrance structure of Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood features wooden construction with architectural elements resembling the United States Capitol building at 95 Circle Drive.

The Florida Chautauqua Assembly building opened in 1909 with a 4,000-seat auditorium, funded through contributions from notable figures including Robert Todd Lincoln and Cornelius Vanderbilt.

The building hosted influential speakers such as Vice President Thomas Marshall and Clara Barton during its years as the largest Chautauqua amphitheater in the South.

The grand entrance section of the building serves as a community center for events, featuring multiple meeting rooms and exhibition spaces managed by the City of DeFuniak Springs.

A tornado during Hurricane Eloise in 1975 destroyed the main auditorium section while leaving the grand entrance structure intact, which continues to stand today.
