Ashe Cottage, Gothic Revival house in Demopolis, United States.

The wooden structure features two semi-octagonal gabled front bays with a single-story porch positioned between them, displaying intricate bargeboards and decorative elements.

Built in 1832, the residence underwent an expansion in 1858 under Dr. William Cincinnatus Ashe, incorporating designs from Samuel Sloan's 1852 publication The Model Architect.

The house stands as one of twenty remaining Gothic Revival residences in Alabama, representing the architectural preferences of the mid-nineteenth century American South.

Located at 307 North Commissioners Avenue, the private residence occupies one acre of land and received National Register of Historic Places status in 1978.

The structure exhibits paired-gable subtype architecture, a characteristic found in only five percent of Gothic Revival houses across the United States.
