Reverie, Greek Revival mansion in Marion, Alabama
The antebellum mansion features four white Doric columns of brick covered with stucco, along with a massive frieze board and dentil moldings surrounding the entire structure.
Built in 1858, the mansion served as Union troops headquarters during the Civil War occupation of Marion, leaving visible markings that remain in the attic.
The interior displays original elaborate plaster moldings, medallions, heart pine floors, and later additions of inlaid oak and mahogany flooring across its fourteen-foot-high rooms.
