Gandu

Gandu is a municipality in Bahia in northeastern Brazil, situated in a region with gently rolling terrain. The town serves as a center for agriculture and local administration, with residents dispersed across the municipal area.

The area grew from a rural estate purchased in the early 1900s and became an officially recognized municipality in the middle of the 20th century. This shift from farmland to an organized administrative division marked a turning point in local development.
