Marley Beach

Marley Beach is a coastal strand in Royal National Park featuring orange-yellow sands backed by an extensive dune system with lagoons. The shoreline is well-defined with rock outcrops visible at the southern end, and the whole area sits within a protected natural reserve.

A steam-powered collier vessel capsized near the beach during a storm, creating what became a diving site over time. This shipwreck remains a notable feature of the underwater area that visitors and divers can explore.

The beach draws people who gather to fish from the southern rock platforms, a practice that has been part of the local way of life for many years. You can see this activity happening regularly, especially when conditions favor the catch.
