Greenhills Beach

Greenhills Beach is a sandy coastal area in southern Sydney that extends along Bate Bay with calm water conditions. A reef offshore helps reduce larger waves, creating relatively sheltered swimming conditions.

The beach takes its name from the green vegetation that once covered the sand dunes of Cronulla before European arrival. Early settlers cleared most of this plant life as they developed the coastal area.
