Calabasas

Calabasas is a residential city in Los Angeles County, nestled between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Santa Susana Mountains. The landscape is hilly and dry, with chaparral vegetation and scattered oaks shaping the natural appearance.

The area was founded as a Spanish ranch in the 18th century and remained agricultural for a long time. Only in the 1970s and 1980s did it develop into the residential community it is today, with planned growth.
