Clark Field, Sports stadium at University of Texas, Austin, United States.

Clark Field was a sports stadium located on the University of Texas campus with wooden bleacher seating accommodating roughly 20,000 spectators. The venue sat at the corner of 24th Street and Speedway and served multiple sports including football, track, baseball, and basketball.

The site opened as Varsity Athletic Field in 1887 and was renamed in 1904 to honor University of Texas regent James Benjamin Clark. It remained a key venue for campus sports until athletic programs relocated to new facilities in the following decades.

Between 1896 and 1924, the Texas Longhorns football team recorded 135 victories, 23 losses, and 3 ties at this sports ground.

The site is centrally located on campus at a prominent street corner, making it straightforward to locate and access. Visitors should note that the original stadium structure no longer stands, but the grounds remain visible and offer a chance to understand the university's sports heritage.

A limestone cliff rose behind the playing field, visible from left and center field, creating a distinctive challenge for outfielders. A narrow path called Billy Goat Hill allowed them to climb up and retrieve balls that rolled into the rocky terrain.
