The Manzana de Gómez building spans an entire city block with five floors and features two diagonal passageways that form an X-shaped pattern for pedestrian circulation.
Constructed in 1917 as Cuba's first shopping center, the Manzana de Gómez building transformed into the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana in 2017 after extensive renovations.
The building incorporates European architectural elements with carved stone decorations, marble staircases, and ornate details that reflect Cuba's commercial prosperity in the early 1900s.
The hotel contains 246 rooms and 50 suites, while the ground floor houses international luxury retail brands including Gucci, Bulgari, and Lacoste.
The building's foundations incorporate sections of Havana's original city walls, connecting modern luxury accommodations with centuries of Cuban historical architecture.
