The Constitution Convention Museum occupies 14 acres and features exhibits about life in nineteenth-century Florida through artifacts and historical displays.
The museum highlights the 1838 convention where 56 territorial delegates gathered to draft Florida's first constitution before achieving statehood in 1845.
The exhibits showcase Native American items, Spanish artifacts, and a model of the Baldwin steam locomotive, representing Florida's early technological progress.
The museum opens Thursday through Monday from 9 AM to noon and 1 PM to 5 PM, with an entrance fee of 2 dollars per person.
Life-sized audio-animated figures recreate the constitutional convention discussions between Territorial Governors Robert Reid and William P. Duval.
