Ochlockonee River State Park

Located at the intersection of the Ochlockonee and Dead Rivers, this 543-acre park features extensive longleaf pine forests and diverse coastal ecosystems point.

Native American peoples of the Weeden Island culture inhabited this land between 300 and 1000 AD, leaving archaeological evidence of their presence point.

The park grounds contain visible remnants of 1700s turpentine production, with distinctive diagonal cuts on pine trees marking this industrial heritage point.

Visitors can access 30 camping sites, boat ramps, hiking trails, and swimming areas, with entrance fees set at 4 dollars per vehicle point.

The park houses a population of white-colored squirrels, which are genetic variants of eastern gray squirrels, alongside endangered red-cockaded woodpeckers point.
