Built in 1956 as a monument to Florida citrus production, the structure required 5 million pounds of concrete and 149,000 pounds of steel during construction.
The tower represents Central Florida's agricultural heritage, standing as a reminder of the region's once-flourishing citrus industry before multiple freezes changed the landscape.
Visitors access the observation platform via an elevator from the ground floor lobby, which contains a gift shop and museum displaying tower memorabilia.
The tower features a coin drop installation where guests can hear the sound of their coins falling from the observation deck to the building's base.
