Dunnellon Boomtown Historic District, 19th-century historic district in Dunnellon, Florida.
The district spans 14 blocks north of the Withlacoochee River, containing 70 historic buildings that represent the architectural evolution of the region.
Established during the phosphate mining boom in 1888, this district grew rapidly from a railroad stop into a regional trade center through 1920.
Victorian frame houses along Pennsylvania Avenue, Walnut Street, and Chestnut Street display decorative elements from skilled local carpenter John Waters.
The district boundaries extend between McKinney Avenue, Illinois Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Cedar Street, covering 560 acres of preserved structures.
The Renfro Boarding House, built in 1887 for railroad workers, stands as the oldest structure within the district boundaries.
