Jensen Beach

Jensen Beach is a coastal community in Martin County that stretches along the Atlantic Ocean with wide sandy shores. The area has a low-key feel, with neighborhoods spread out along the waterfront and simple beach amenities scattered throughout.

A Danish immigrant named John Laurence Jensen founded the settlement in 1881 and developed it into a major pineapple farming center. The region became an important agricultural hub in the late 1800s before economic focus shifted to other crops decades later.
