Rollins Museum of Art

Rollins Museum of Art in Winter Park holds more than 5,000 artworks including paintings from the 14th century, sculptures, and contemporary pieces arranged across six galleries. The collection spans different art movements and styles from multiple centuries.

The museum grew from a small art collection at Rollins College in the early 1900s. A turning point came in 1930 when the Samuel H. Kress Foundation donated two Italian Renaissance paintings, strengthening the collection's depth and significance.

The exhibition spaces rotate their focus to reflect diverse artistic expressions, from Puerto Rican paintings to environmental interpretations across different media. You experience how artists from various backgrounds communicate their perspectives through their work.

Admission is free, but hours vary by day so check before you go. Tuesday has the longest hours while other weekdays are shorter, and the museum opens at noon on weekends.

The adjacent Alfond Inn serves as an additional exhibition space showcasing pieces from the museum's permanent collection. This connected building lets visitors discover contemporary works in a different setting.
