Lakepoint State Park

Lakepoint State Park sits along the shores of Lake Eufaula and offers a waterfront area with 192 campsites and a resort lodge with 101 rooms. The park has a marina, swimming complex, tennis courts, and hiking trails.

The park was created after Lake Eufaula was built in the 1960s to give people access to the reservoir. Since then it has grown into an important recreation area for the region.

This park is part of Alabama's Wiregrass Birding Trail, where visitors can watch songbirds, raptors, and local wildlife depending on the season. Bird watching has become a popular activity here.

The resort rooms come with a television, refrigerator, and coffee maker for basic comfort. The best time to visit is during warmer months when all facilities are fully operational.

American alligators live in the park's waters, and visitors can spot them from the shoreline and special viewing areas. This wildlife viewing is a memorable experience for many guests.
