Ted Wright Stadium

Ted Wright Stadium is a football venue at Savannah State University in Georgia with seating for about 7,500 spectators. The facility features a natural grass field, professional locker rooms, ticket booths, and concession stands throughout the grounds.

The stadium opened in 1969 during a major campus construction period from 1964 to 1971. A major renovation in 2010 added substantial new seating and modernized the playing surface and facilities.

The stadium is home to the Savannah State Tigers, representing one of the oldest historically black universities in the country. It functions as a gathering place where students and community members celebrate their school identity through football.

The facility has accessible seating sections and multiple entry points to help crowd movement flow smoothly. A dedicated press box with a President's Suite provides additional amenities for game days.

The 2010 renovation introduced modern artificial playing surface technology that reduces wear and improves game conditions. This upgrade allows year-round training at professional standards on campus.
