The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk extends 1.2 miles along the Atlantic coast, connecting the 14th Avenue Pier to the Second Avenue Pier with decorative walkways.
Constructed in 2010, this modern oceanfront development replaced the original wooden walkways that served visitors during the early tourism period of Myrtle Beach.
The Plyler Park section of the boardwalk features the bronze Goddess of the Sea sculpture and hosts regular evening entertainment programs during summer months.
Visitors can access the boardwalk 24 hours daily, with designated hours for dog walking and bicycling depending on seasonal regulations.
The Gay Dolphin Gift Cove, established in the 1940s and located directly on the boardwalk, spans multiple floors filled with local maritime artifacts.
