Doelger Building, Art Deco office building in Inner Sunset, San Francisco, United States.
The Doelger Building features stepped geometric patterns on its facade, with a vertical blade that originally displayed neon lettering for Henry Doelger Homes.
Built in 1932 for developer Henry Doelger, the structure expanded in 1936 with a raised roof and again in 1940 with a Streamline Moderne addition.
The building represents the growth of San Francisco's residential development, serving as headquarters for a company that created affordable housing tracts.
The 11,500-square-foot structure contains five separate office units, storage areas, a manager's office, and parking spaces for three vehicles.
The building, designed by Charles Clausen, began as a one-story structure with a mezzanine and cost only 4,000 dollars to construct.
