Point Diablo Light

Point Diablo Light is a wooden lighthouse on the northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge featuring a simple cylindrical post design. The structure rises roughly 85 feet (26 meters) tall and holds a small beacon platform that marks the water passage.

The United States Lighthouse Service built this navigation aid in 1923 to guide vessels through hazardous waters near the Golden Gate entrance. This structure became crucial as shipping traffic increased in this busy passage.

This lighthouse forms part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and draws photographers and maritime enthusiasts interested in California's coastal infrastructure.
