Poppy Hills Golf Course, Golf course in Pebble Beach, United States
Poppy Hills Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout that stretches 7,002 yards through Del Monte Forest. The terrain rolls gently through stands of trees, with sand bunkers positioned throughout to test different skill levels.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 1986, the course has been a fixture in the Monterey Peninsula golf landscape for decades. A significant redesign in 2014 refreshed the playing experience while honoring the original forest setting.
The Northern California Golf Association operates this course, which hosted the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament from 1991 through 2009.
The course offers a driving range, practice areas, and on-site dining along with equipment services at the pro shop. Plan for a full day of play in this forested setting, with weather and course conditions changing through the seasons.
Matt Gogel holds the course record with a score of 62, achieved during the 2001 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament.
