Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve

Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve encompasses 4,471 acres of forest land with over 21 miles of trails through coastal redwoods and hardwood forests.

The preserve was created through a $2 million donation from the Save the Redwoods League to protect the forest ecosystem and maintain conservation efforts.

The old logging roads that once served industrial purposes now form a network of recreational paths where visitors observe the century-old second-growth forest.

The main entrance lies 4.5 miles south of Highway 92 on Skyline Boulevard, offering parking facilities and wheelchair access via the Redwood Trail.

The preserve features five interconnected trails with elevation changes of more than 1,000 feet, passing through fog-covered forests and sun-exposed ridges.
