Vermont Street, street in San Francisco

Vermont Street is a north–south street in San Francisco's Potrero Hill district, running from Division Street south to Cesar Chavez Street and paralleling U.S. 101. Between 20th and 22nd Streets, near McKinley Square, it makes seven sharp turns, and it is paved in concrete rather than the red brick of Lombard Street.

Vermont Street is one of a series of Potrero Hill streets named after American battleships. It runs north–south from Division Street near South of Market, parallels U.S. 101, crosses the freeway on a pedestrian bridge at 22nd Street, and ends at Cesar Chavez Street. Its block between 20th and 22nd Streets, near McKinley Square, has seven sharp turns. In 1973 it appeared in a chase scene in Clint Eastwood's Magnum Force.

The seven bends lie between 20th and 22nd Streets beside McKinley Square; the roadway is concrete, not brick, and has no lane markings. Vermont Street is split by U.S. 101: a pedestrian bridge carries it across the freeway at 22nd Street, and it resumes at 26th Street. The block is far less visited than Lombard Street.
