Napa Valley Opera House

The Napa Valley Opera House is a theater building with Renaissance Revival architecture spanning two levels and housing two separate performance spaces. The main hall features ornamental skylights and brass fixtures, while a smaller theater sits below with a more intimate setup for varied programming.

The building opened in 1880 and became an entertainment venue for the growing city of Napa. A major earthquake in the early 1900s caused significant structural damage that led to its permanent closure.

The original stage floor was specifically designed for local dances and community pageants, featuring a custom curtain that displayed advertisements from neighboring businesses.
