Sam Kee Laundry Building

The Sam Kee Laundry Building is a historic stone structure on Main Street featuring Italianate architectural details like ornamental brackets and tall windows. The walls are built from sandstone quarried locally and give the building its distinctive appearance.

The building was originally constructed in 1875 as a brewery and later served as a saloon before being converted into a laundry service. It remained a key business operation in downtown Napa for many decades.

The building reflects how Chinese immigrants provided daily services that were essential to Napa's growing community in the late 1800s. You can still see traces of this heritage in the way the structure stands on Main Street today.

The building is now open to visitors and serves as a tasting room where you can sample wines from several Napa Valley producers. You can explore the historic interior while learning about the local wine region.
