Acacia Winery, Wine estate in Carneros Valley, California
The Acacia Winery spans over 150 acres in Carneros Valley, focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties near San Francisco Bay.
Founded in 1979 by Michael Richmond, Acacia became the first California winery to produce vineyard-designated Pinot Noir from external fruit sources.
The winery maintains some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines in the United States, contributing to the development of Carneros as a wine region.
Visitors can schedule tastings from Monday to Saturday between 10 AM and 4 PM, or Sundays from noon to 4 PM, with fees starting at 10 dollars.
The winery draws its name from a single Acacia tree that continues to grow among the grape vines in one of its vineyards.
