William H. Corlett designed the Alexandria Hotel in 1910, with an older annex that was redesigned to match the main building's architectural style.
The hotel represents early 20th-century California architecture through its Mission Revival and Mediterranean Revival elements, particularly visible in its Palladian windows.
Located at 840-844 Brown Street, the Alexandria Hotel underwent extensive renovations from May 2015 to June 2016 following damage from the 2014 earthquake.
The property forms part of three historical structures at Second and Brown Streets, alongside the Bank of Napa and Napa County Courthouse.
