John and Gail Kautz established Ironstone Vineyards in 1990, pioneering the cultivation of Chardonnay and multiple grape varieties in the Lodi region.
The Heritage Museum displays Native American Miwok artifacts and contains a 44-pound crystalline gold specimen discovered at Carson Hill in 1992.
The Gold Leaf Bistro serves meals Thursday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM, with outdoor seating areas that welcome pets.
The vineyard exports wine to over 40 countries and maintains five distinct brands: Obsession Wines, Leaping Horse Vineyards, Christine Andrew, Stone Valley, and Drifting.
