Troutdale, Riverside city in Multnomah County, United States

Troutdale is a city in Multnomah County located where the Sandy and Columbia rivers meet, with several parks and trails following the waterways. These natural areas run through the city and offer outdoor recreation opportunities.

The city developed as an industrial hub when Reynolds Aluminum opened a plant in 1941, producing essential materials during World War II. The facility shaped local employment until its closure in 2000.

The downtown area displays murals showing local stories, while shops feature goods from Oregon artisans and regional food makers.

The city has various parks and green spaces that are easy to reach on foot and offer room for walking and relaxing. Visitors can find parking in most areas and explore the surroundings at their own pace.

The Bissinger Wool Mill moved to the city in 1925 and gained attention when workers discovered a cat among animal hides and adopted it as their mascot. This cat became part of the facility's story.
