Milo McIver State Park, State park along Clackamas River in Oregon, US

Milo McIver State Park is a 951-acre property along the Clackamas River featuring mixed Douglas fir forests, open meadows, and direct water access. The landscape includes wooded trails, riverside camping areas, and cleared spaces for day-use activities at multiple locations.

The land was gradually acquired by the state between 1966 and 1975, with the park officially named after an influential member of Oregon's transportation authority. Its establishment marked an effort to preserve the river corridor and forest lands for public use.

The fish hatchery program reflects how the park supports local conservation efforts and educates visitors about native salmon species that define the region. Walking through the interpretive displays, you learn why these fish matter to the ecosystem and to people who live nearby.

The park offers both RV camping with electrical hookups and tent-only sites, all equipped with basic facilities like restrooms and showers. Plan your visit during dry months when water levels are lower and all areas remain accessible, as winter flooding can close some sections.

The Riverbend area features a 27-hole disc golf course where players can rent equipment directly from the park office without needing to bring their own gear. This recreational addition attracts a dedicated following and offers a different way to enjoy the woodlands.
