Aftermath Clubhouse

The Aftermath Clubhouse is a two-story wooden building featuring Italian Villa architectural elements located on Broadway Street in Bellingham, Washington. The structure contains generous interior spaces that serve various functions for community use and private events.

The building was constructed in 1904 and became the first women's clubhouse in Washington State. It grew out of a reading group founded in 1895 that eventually needed its own dedicated building to accommodate the expanding membership.

The building began as a gathering place for a reading group that brought together local women for intellectual exchange and social connection. Today it continues to serve as a community hub where people gather for celebrations and shared events.

The site is easily accessible with plenty of interior space available for different uses and gatherings. Visitors should check in advance to learn about current activities, as the building often hosts various community events and private functions.

The second floor contains a ballroom that was once considered among the finest in the region and displays the architectural tastes of the early 20th century. This elegant space remains a notable example of early-1900s craftsmanship and design.
