Crystal Springs hot springs

Crystal Springs consists of multiple geothermal springs and seeps along the White River, with water temperatures ranging from 81°F to 90°F.

The springs area served as a major stopover on the alternate Mormon trail route and later became a stagecoach stop and first Lincoln County seat.

The mineral-rich thermal waters have provided therapeutic benefits to visitors and Indigenous communities throughout generations in the Nevada high desert.

Located off the Extraterrestrial Highway at coordinates N 37 31.920 W 115 13.980, the springs discharge 148 gallons of water per minute.

The spring waters support a specialized ecosystem, including the Crystal Spring Pyrgulopsis crystalis, a rare species of freshwater snail.
