Château de Soult-Berg

Château de Soult-Berg is a mansion in Saint-Amans-Soult with a rectangular plan, two lateral wings, and tall rectangular windows framed in sandstone. Its facades display regular proportions following a clear classical design.

A marshal ordered construction of this residence between 1829 and 1835 following his return from exile in Germany. The property was built during an era when classical style prevailed in France.

The first floor holds a theater with 80 seats built in 1864, inspired by the theater style at Fontainebleau Palace. This room served the family for celebrations and gatherings.

The park is open for public exploration, but visits to the castle itself require advance reservations with the owners. It is best to arrange access in advance to see both the grounds and the building.

The 40-hectare park is designed to replicate a First Empire battlefield layout and contains over 200 different tree species. This botanical diversity makes the grounds a special place for nature lovers.
