Château de Montfort, Renaissance castle in La Colle-sur-Loup, France.

The castle features stone walls, gothic vaults, wooden ceilings with sculptures, and high blazoned chimneys throughout its Renaissance architecture design.

Built in the 13th century as a feudal fortress, Jean-Antoine II de Lascaris acquired the castle in 1501 and gave it as a dowry to his daughter.

The main hall displays a beamed ceiling and a fireplace decorated with the coat of arms of the Grand Bastard of Savoy.

Located at 442 Chemin de Montfort, the castle requires verification of access status before planning any visits.

The castle served as a hunting lodge where King Francis I met Claude of Savoy in 1538 during discussions about the Peace of Nice.
