Sacred Heart Cathedral stands at 415 East Green Avenue in Gallup, New Mexico, and is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Gallup. The present building dates from 1955, when it replaced the 1917 church at a cost of $500,000. Its roof was replaced by the diocese in 2022, and the Sacred Heart School campus adjoins the cathedral grounds.

Sacred Heart parish began in 1899, when Father George Julliard built a church for Catholic miners drawn to Gallup by coal mining. Part of that building collapsed in 1916, and a replacement was built on Hill Street in 1917. When Pope Pius XII created the Diocese of Gallup in 1939, the church became its cathedral. The present cathedral, built in 1955 for $500,000, replaced the 1917 sanctuary.

The parish was served by Franciscan friars until 1 July 1981, when Alfred Tachias became its first diocesan priest, pastor and cathedral rector. The cathedral sits on East Green Avenue, and the diocese replaced its roof in 2022.
